DMIT & Cognitive Development · Ages 3–11

Understand how your child learns — then nurture it.

Talent Sumtotal pairs a dermatoglyphics (fingerprint) profile with structured, age-appropriate development programs — giving parents and teachers a clearer starting point for how each child, from preschool to grade 5, learns best.

What we offer

From insight to everyday practice

An assessment is only useful if it changes how a child is taught at home and in class. Every service below is built around that follow-through.

DMIT Profiling

A fingerprint-based assessment that offers insights into learning preferences and intelligence areas — a starting point for a child's development plan, not a fixed verdict.

Insight tool

Cognitive Development

Age-appropriate activities that build memory, attention, reasoning and problem-solving — structured for preschool through grade 5.

Core program

Learning-Style Guidance

Practical strategies that help parents and teachers match teaching to how a child takes in and retains information.

For parents & teachers

Early-Years Foundations

School-readiness, language and motor-skill support designed for the 3–6 age group, where habits and confidence first take root.

Ages 3–6

Parent & Educator Counselling

One-on-one sessions that translate the profile into simple, repeatable routines you can actually keep up with.

1:1 sessions

Progress Tracking

Periodic reviews so the plan adapts as your child grows — because a profile at age four shouldn't run the show at age nine.

Ongoing
A broader view of ability

Eight ways to be smart

Our programs are organised around Howard Gardner's theory of multiple intelligences — a reminder that ability shows up in many forms, not one test score.

Linguistic

Words, reading, storytelling and expression.

Logical–Mathematical

Patterns, numbers, reasoning and logic.

Spatial

Visualising, building and seeing in 3D.

Musical

Rhythm, melody, pitch and sound.

Bodily–Kinesthetic

Movement, coordination and hands-on skill.

Interpersonal

Reading people, empathy and teamwork.

Intrapersonal

Self-awareness, focus and reflection.

Naturalistic

Nature, living things and the outdoors.

Multiple-intelligences theory is an educational framework for appreciating different strengths; we use it to design varied activities, not to label or rank children.

The journey

Four steps, one clear plan

01

Assessment

A quick, painless fingerprint capture at our centre or your school — about 15 minutes, no screens or tests for the child.

02

Personalised report

A plain-language profile of learning preferences and strength areas — with a clear note on what it can and can't tell you.

03

Counselling session

A certified counsellor walks parents through the findings and answers questions, free of jargon or pressure.

04

Development plan

A practical activity plan for home and class, with periodic reviews as your child grows.

About Talent Sumtotal

Child-first, evidence-honest, parent-friendly

We started Talent Sumtotal to give parents something better than guesswork and anxiety: a calm, structured way to think about how their child learns. The fingerprint profile is one input among many — what matters is the program and counselling that follow.

We're upfront about limits.

Every report states clearly what a DMIT profile is — a guidance tool, not a medical, psychological, or IQ diagnosis.

Certified counsellors only.

Sessions are led by trained child-development counsellors, not salespeople.

Built for ages 3 to 11.

Activities and language are tuned to each stage from preschool through grade 5.

"They never oversold it. They showed us how our son learns best, gave us simple things to try, and his confidence at school changed within a term."
